Because choosing the right therapist doesn't have to be a game of hazard, so here's more about me.

In 2019, I began my first professional experience in an addiction treatment facility. Amid early-morning calls, moments of heightened urgency, and the very real struggles people carried with them, I quickly realized that what was needed went far beyond clinical jargon or a rigid, hierarchical therapeutic stance. I observed that a gentle presence often created more ease for those overwhelmed by both internal and external chaos, and that a stance combining compassion with appropriate confrontation felt far more authentic and effective than a distant, detached version of professionalism.

Today, after several years in the field, this perspective continues to guide my work. Along the way, it also became clear that the challenges clients face often extend beyond a therapist approach. Many people hesitate to reach out for support for various reasons: past negative experiences, stigma and stereotypes, financial limitations, or simply not knowing what to expect from therapy. For some of these barriers, a written text can only go so far. This is why I offer an intake session—to create space for questions, clarify expectations, and gently dismantle any hesitations that may stand in the way.

As for the uncertainty around what to expect, let’s explore that together.

While access to therapists has become easier over time, one important question remains: How do I know if this therapist is the right fit for me? Finding the right fit does not have to feel like a game of hazard. With that in mind, I’d like to share a bit more about myself and my approach.

I am Moroccan by origin and Amazigh by ethnicity. I move between introversion and extroversion depending on my energy tank. My Spotify playlists hold over 7,000 songs (it took time), and my least favorite question is “What’s your favorite song, movie, or artist,” as I don’t believe human experience fits neatly into singular answers or simple categories. We are, by nature, multifaceted and complex.

In therapy, you can expect me not to step in as someone who “has all the answers.” For a few important reasons: I am not the expert on your life, nor the holder of absolute truths. Taking on that role would risk diminishing your agency. Instead, my intention, if you allow it, is to gently step in, ask thoughtful questions, compassionately confront when needed, draw attention to what may have been consciously or unconsciously set aside, listen with care, and offer tools that can support your day to day life.

If these words resonate with you and you feel inclined to reach out, you’ll find an intake form available. You are also welcome to contact me via email should you have any questions.
